Is there any proof that there is no women or booze in the War/Situation Room? Why do they get calls wrong? If the sole purpose is to get calls right, and they do not 100% of the time, then it needs to be scrapped, because then the on-ice officials are doing just as well a job.

I don't think there is a problem with the officiating in the NHL. The " War Room" (who cares what they call it) is there to assist the officials during the game. The Nhl is just trying to make the game fare as possible. The refs make the correct call most of the time, if anything it probably diffuses any kind of verbal abuse they may receive when the call is verified by the situation room. It's not like they hire inexperienced people. NHL officials have done there time to get to the show. Watching international hockey, I still think the Nhl has the best officials.
